When done correctly, the process of applying an epoxy floor coating is labor intensive and detailed.  Be aware that the entire process can take anywhere from 2-4 days depending on the size of the garage and the set time for the top coat (which will vary garage to garage).  But, it’s definitely worth the wait, and is sure to add value to your home.

My Casa Services Epoxy Floor Coating Service

We start by grinding the concrete sealer off of your floor, giving the concrete open pores for the epoxy to adhere to. We then clean the concrete, sealing and filling any blemishes in the concrete pads. Then, we apply the epoxy, and if desired add epoxy chips for that flecked, or granite, look. For solid colors, a fine grit is added to prevent any accidental slips or falls when wet. Once the base coat has set, we remove any excess chips and add the finishing touches to the base coat. Once the base coat has been prepared the clear top coat is applied, giving the floor a seamless sheen.

CAUTION! If you’re thinking of using a do-it-yourself product, think again.  We have many customers who have come to us AFTER they’ve invested the time and money into applying an epoxy coating to their garage floor themselves.  DIY applications rarely get a pristine surface in the prep phase – even with an acid wash.  The result is flaking and chipping caused by improper adhesion.  We use products that are only commercially available, and we grind the concrete surface for proper adhesion.  And the best news of all - we offer a warranty!
